The context

Even 30 years later, the consequences of the genocide are still felt in daily life in Rwanda.

The population remains deeply affected and destabilised by these events.

Social reality continues to be difficult and painful.

Domestic violence remains highly prevalent in society.

Significant efforts are being made to promote peace and rebuild the social fabric.
The project
This project seeks to advance women’s economic empowerment for a fairer future in Rwanda.
The expected results are as follows:
-
Women have improved knowledge of and access to services for the prevention of and response to gender-based violence (GBV).
-
300 women achieve sustainable economic empowerment.
-
Local communities actively engage in raising awareness on GBV and promoting gender equality.
-
Stakeholders coordinate their efforts to support women’s rights and their economic empowerment.

Beneficiaries

300 women who are victims of gender-based violence or living in situations of economic vulnerability in the districts of Bugesera and Kayonza.

How to help?
You can contribute to:

Provide a woman with financial resources, along with technical support and follow-up.
-
Establish 10 village savings and credit associations.
-
Train 100 women beneficiaries on the prevention of gender-based violence, their rights, and the services available.
